Theres A Style Guide for That
Theres A Style Guide for That Thereââ¬â¢s A Style Guide for That Thereââ¬â¢s A Style Guide for That By Maeve Maddox Authors who specialize in one field of knowledge are sometimes unaware of style guides used in other areas. In writing for DWT, I mostly rely on these three style guides: The Chicago Manual of Style The AP Stylebook Penguin Writerââ¬â¢s Manual Chicago is directed at a broad audience that includes both scholars and entrepreneurs. AP is targeted specifically to journalists. CMOS and AP recommendations donââ¬â¢t often differ, but when they do, the differences sometimes reflect an interesting divide between scholarly and popular usage. I trust the Penguin reference guides to point me to differences between American and British usage. When wearing my academic hat, I regard the MLA Handbook (published by the Modern Language Association) as my style bible. These are my preferred guides because I write chiefly about standard usage and literature. Not all disciplines process and present information in exactly the same way. Authors who write about other subjectsââ¬âsociology, science, and mathematics, for exampleââ¬âlook to other guides. Hereââ¬â¢s a sampling of instructions in authorsââ¬â¢ guidelines for just four specialized journals, each recommending different guides: Journal of Aging and Physical Activity Manuscripts that do not conform to APA guidelinesmay be rejected without review. Journal of Chemical Theory and Computation References must conform to the format printed in the journal and must include titles. The article should conform to the usual ACS format. Sociological Theory In general, please refer to the ASA Style Guide (4th edition) for style and formatting guidelines. Manuscripts that do not conform to the desired format will be returned to the author for rectification. Amyloid: Journal of Protein Folding Disorders [This journal] conforms to the CSE style guidelines, using the NLM style for references. What the initials mean: APA: Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association APA formatà is the official style of the American Psychological Association and is generally used for writing about research in psychology, education, and social sciences. ACS: The ACS Style Guide: Effective Communication of Scientific Information Published by the American Chemical Society, ACS style is followed by writers and reviewers of scientific manuscripts. ASA: American Sociological Association Style Guide Similar to APA, ASA is also used by writers about sociology and related fields. CSE: Scientific Style and Format: The CSE Manual for Authors, Editors, and Publishers Developed by the Council of Science Editors (CSE), this guide is used by writers in all areas of the sciences. NLM: Citing Medicine: The NLM Style Guide for Authors, Editors, and Publishers This guide is published by the National Library of Medicine to provide instructions and examples for formatting citations of published and unpublished material, both printed and digital. Other guides for other areas of specialization also exist. Of the guides mentioned here, MLA and APA are probably the best known because high school students and college undergraduates are most likely to be required to use one of them for their research papers. Iââ¬â¢ll discuss the differences between them in another post. Related: 5 Online Style Guides Want to improve your English in five minutes a day? Greek influences on the modern world Term Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 750 words
Greek influences on the modern world - Term Paper Example The innovations by Greek scholars and critiques against mythical beliefs led to an improved understanding of the world and the occurrences within it. The Greeks were the first emancipators of thought. Philosophers such as Thales were revolutionaries of thought. They came up with explanations to counter mythical beliefs and developed practical solutions to solve problems in the society. Pythagoreans helped develop mathematics (Pythagoras, 54). Early cosmologists who studied the universe were also Greek. Another Greek, Hippocrates, made great advances in the field of medicine. Philosophy and Astronomy The whole field of philosophy as practiced today can be attributed to the Greeks. They practically invented everything to do with this field of study. Philosophy refers to the love of wisdom and knowledge. Modern way of thinking that is based on rationality rather than beliefs was established by the Greeks. Thales of Miletus is considered the father of philosophy (Aristotle, 52). The mode rn day explanations of phenomenon such as lightning and earthquakes are attributed to these early thinkers. This is because they were the ones that questioned the mythical view that the gods were in control of nature. The Ionian Philosophy established by the Greek was the first to study the causes of nature without inclusion of gods in its studies. The advancements made in the field of astronomy can also be attributed to the works of the Greeks. They developed the first theories that tried to explain how the universe was formed. These scholars who were at the time referred to as cosmologists also gave explanations as to the causes of other aspects of nature such as winds, lightning and rain (Aristotle, 52). Mathematics and Science Mathematics is highly essential at this modern time. Most day to day operations in the modern world involve some aspect of mathematics from basic operations to highly complex ones. The Pythagoreans devoted themselves to the development and advancement of m athematics. They also believed that there was some form of mathematical order in nature. This was to be empirically demonstrated by Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein more than two thousand years later (Pythagoras, 54). Pythagoras and other Ionian philosophers developed the earliest form of geometry. The Pythagoras theorem taught in school up to this day was developed long ago by the Greeks. Another example is the Archimedes principle in Physics. Though developed a long time ago, it is still in use today. Science today involves a lot of observation and research work. Premises and accompanying conclusions are made based on solid evidence. This practice was developed by the Ionian Philosophers of Greece and is the basis upon which modern research is conducted. Medicine The field of medicine has seen much advancement over the years. Cures have been developed for diseases that were thought to be incurable. Modern man has been able to cope with disease outbreaks and develop cures thanks to the work of Greeks such as Hippocrates. Considered the father of medicine, Hippocrates, led other medical doctors in Greece to condemn magical practices and beliefs of the time. They said that the mythical beliefs hindered understanding of diseases. An example is the rejection of the belief that epilepsy was a sacred disease hence not curable. Such denunciations are what led to research into what causes these diseases how to develop of the cures. Scholars such as

Nutrition and the relationship to athletic performance Essay
Nutrition and the relationship to athletic performance - Essay Example Proper eating habits play an integral role in fueling the body to operate effectively. Even the well conditioned and best trained athlete will have a hard time performing at peak level if improperly nourished. Also, it is essential for the athlete to understand that a balanced diet is critical not only for athletic excellence but also to maintain tissues that have been damaged during physical activity and, more importantly, for the young athlete who will need the additional nutrients to allow for continued growth and bone development. Carbohydrate is the most efficient and recommended source of glucose that the body needs to produce energy. Once ingested, the body converts carbohydrates into glucose that will give the athlete power and stamina to endure high intensity, short duration activities. Excess glucose, called glycogen, is absorbed in the liver and muscle tissues for later use. If the body lacks sources of carbohydrates, the body is forced to convert fat and protein into energy resulting in poor performance and increased fatigue. Carbohydrates are divided into two groups, the simple and complex carbohydrates. The simple carbohydrates, sometimes also referred to as the "bad carbs", are commonly found in refined or packaged food such as sugar, candy, chips, milk, honey and, fruit juices. Although, these types of carbohydrates are easily digested, they lack essential vitamins and nutrients that can normally be found in food sources containing complex carbohydrates. They are so-called because, unlike the simple carbohydrates, complex carbohydrates take longer to digest but it brings with it the essential vitamins and minerals that the body needs on a daily basis. This type of carbohydrate is commonly found in fresh fruits and vegetables, oatmeal, rice, bread, cereal, pita, pretzel, muffins and, pasta dishes. Although there are many recommendations on the amount of carbohydrate to be taken daily, most experts agree that carbohydrate consumption should consist of at the most two-thirds (2/3) of any given meal, roughly 3 to 4 times of a persons' weight in pounds. This means, for example, a person weighing 160 pounds should consume about 480-640 grams of carbohydrate everyday to maintain his energy level. And as exercise and training increase, carbohydrate consumption should be increased appropriately. According to the studies made by Leslie Bonci M.P.H., R.D., the following increase in carbohydrate intake is recommended for the active athlete: 3 grams/lb body weight for 1 hour of training 4.5 grams/kg body weight for 2 hours training 5 grams/kg body weight for 3 hours training, and 6 grams/kg body weight for 4+ hours of training (Bonci, n.d.a, Carbohydrate Needs section, par.1) Another technique used by endurance athletes, like bicyclers, swimmers and long-distance runners is "carbohydrate loading" or commonly referred to as

Often Imitated Never Duplicated Essay Example for Free
Often Imitated Never Duplicated Essay Never Duplicated Michael Jackson brought a new style to the music scene, changing everything from fashion, videos and dance, which started around the making of the Thriller album and several of itââ¬â¢s music videoââ¬â¢s. Men, women, boys, girls, black, or white it did not matter; everyone wanted to be a little like Michael Jackson, he crossed over all races and genres of music. It could have been the red military type jacket, the black pants, patent leather shoes, or the white sequin glove that he wore in the Thriller video. Everyone tried to copy Michael Jackson in some shape, form, or fashion, especially trying to do the moonwalk or robot that Michael Jackson perfected. Everyone stood in front of a mirror to see if they could do the Robot or told someone to watch me as they did the moonwalk. Michael Jackson and the Thriller album have influenced many of the pop artists today in their dance and showmanship. Record executive, producer, and singer Antonio Reid stated this in Rolling Stone Magazine. Michael has influenced so many artists, some of whom are picking up on the grandeur and showmanship of his live performances. You can see his influence in his sister Janet, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Britney Spears, and in Jennifer Lopez and Mariah Carey. You can see his influence in the dance movesââ¬âthe syncopated choreographyââ¬âthat a lot of young artists use. And a lot of them have picked up his work ethic. When you look at Britney Spears production or a Justin Timberlake production, or it you look at an Usher production, you really see that they took a page out of Michaelââ¬â¢s book; they went to rehearsal, and they must have worked eight hours a day, because their shows are flawless, as Michaelââ¬â¢s shows were flawless (A. Reid). So many artists are motivated and influence by Michael Jackson that a lot of them even imitate him 25 years after the Thriller album. The imitation runs deeper than just song and dance. His vision and perfection set the example for so many more to follow. Michael Jackson still has musicians in the 21ST century aspiring to be a modern version of him. Not everyone will pick up on how much he influences artist today unless they follow Michael Jackson closely or grew up with him and watched the evolution of Michael; he was the Elvis of his generation [early to mid 80ââ¬â¢s]. Of all Michael Jacksonââ¬â¢s great qualities, dancing is probably the most imitated or at least itââ¬â¢s the most visible imitation of all, unless you just have a good ear for Michael Jacksonââ¬â¢s music and remixes. Michael Jackson perfected the Moonwalk that he learned by watching kids and break-dancers perform in the streets. Once Michael Jackson had it perfected it, he debuted the Moonwalk on the Motown 25th Anniversary special, which was on National TV. This made the Moonwalk tremendously popular and notorious worldwide along with the robot that he was famous for. Thereââ¬â¢s way to many pop artists inspired and influenced my Michael Jackson to cover them all, a few of them are Ginuwine, Justine Timberlake, Sisco, Usher, NSYNC, and Janet Jackson. Justin Timberlake, Usher, Chris Brown and Ginuwine are a few of the many that will be used to show how much influence Michael Jackson has had on the pop music of the 21st Century. In an interview with VH1 the VH1 staffer asked Justin Timberlake ââ¬Å"How have your changing musical tastes influenced your solo work? â⬠and Justin answered with ââ¬Å"My inspirations have been the same since I was 12. I love Stevie Wonderâ⬠¦Al Green. And of course, Michael Jackson and Prince and Earth Wind Fire, tooâ⬠(Lerner). Justin Timberlake has been known to dance like Michael Jackson in his concerts and videos, even wearing a fedora like Michael Jackson. Susan Horsburgh of People magazine did an article on Justin Timberlake covering Justinââ¬â¢s solo debut. ââ¬Å"emerging from a gigantic boom box to sing ââ¬Å"like I Love You,â⬠which, with his fedora and moonwalk moves, he performed in the style of his idol, Michael Jacksonâ⬠(Horsburgh). Just another example of how Michael Jackson has pop artist today trying to be the new King of Pop. Justin Timberlake is not the only artist that is influenced by Michael Jackson. Chris Brown is another popular pop artist that has been influenced by Michael Jackson when it come to his performances and dancing. Chris Brown took Michael Jacksonââ¬â¢s style of dancing and added his on spin or flare to it to make it his own. In the Washington Post journalist Allison Stewart says this about Chris Brown, heââ¬â¢s, ââ¬Å"Fond of modified moonwalking and benign, poppy club jamsâ⬠¦Michael Jackson without the ickâ⬠(Stewart). Which tells the reader that Brown is just like Jackson but with out the ick, canââ¬â¢t get any better than that. Chris Brown has taken Michael Jacksonââ¬â¢s moves, practiced them, perfected them, and added his own twist to them making it his own. Chris Brown is another pop artist that is known for his dance as much as his music. As we make comparisons you will be surprised by some of the artist and what theyââ¬â¢ve done. One that you might not know that was influenced by Michael Jackson is Ginuwine. Popular RB singer Elgin Baylor Lumpkin or better known as Ginuwine was also influenced by Michael Jackson and took emulating Michael Jackson to a whole new level at an early age. ââ¬Å"Lumpkins interest in music was ignited by Prince and Michael Jackson, especially the latterââ¬â¢s legendary moonwalking performanceâ⬠¦at the mere age of 12, began performing partiesâ⬠¦later worked as Michael Jackson impressionistâ⬠(biography). Ginuwine went on to further his music career using the influence and experiences of Michael Jackson to become a successful RB artist. Of the many, many artist influenced by Michael Jackson, Usher Raymond, has been influenced by Michael Jackson in so many ways, but mostly in his dancing. During the remaking of the 25th anniversary of the ââ¬Å"Thriller Albumâ⬠Usher said ââ¬Å"That great choreograph and great energy that Michael puts behind it, try to re-create that feeling. I try to take different kinds of dance and apply it in the same way Michael did in ââ¬Å"Thrillerââ¬â¢, ââ¬ËBeat Itââ¬â¢ and ââ¬ËOff the Wall. ââ¬â¢Ã¢â¬ (Reid, Hiatt, and Yago). Which has brought us to where were at today, even with rap artist like Snoop D O double G. Thatââ¬â¢s the king right there,â⬠Snopp Dogg said about the love Michael still gets. ââ¬Å"Michael Jackson has always been an inspiration to me as far as his music is concerned. You canââ¬â¢t take nothing from Himâ⬠(Reid, Hiatt, and Yago). Not that itââ¬â¢s a bad thing; there are worse people to imitate, emulate or just be influenced by. His dance moves have been imitated in just about everyway from music videos to TV ads. The most recent was the commercial during the Super Bowl with the SoBe drink, which had the lizards doing the thriller dance with one of the singers from Destinyââ¬â¢s child. Shaheem Reid a well known MTV and Hollywood writer points how Michael Jacksonââ¬â¢s dance has influenced other artist to include female groups, ââ¬Å"There is Michael Jacksonââ¬â¢s dance moves from ââ¬Å"Thrillerâ⬠in Destinyââ¬â¢s Childââ¬â¢s ââ¬Å"Bootylicious videoâ⬠(Reid, Hiatt, and Yago). Just another example of how Michael Jackson has influenced pop artist both male and female. Why would any artist imitate, emulate or even use Michael Jackson as an Inspiration? Hereââ¬â¢s a few statistics that would explain why the Justin Timberlakes, the Ushers, the Chris Brownââ¬â¢s and the Ginuwines would use Michaelââ¬â¢s work ethic, music and dance to guide them. Thriller originally spent 37 weeks at No. 1, a total of 80 consecutive weeks in the Top 10. Its also the only album in American history to be the bestselling album for two years. Seven of the albums nine songs hit the Billboard Top 10 with Billie Jean and Beat It both reaching No. 1â⬠(Gamboa). ââ¬Å"The ââ¬Å"Thriller Album has earned 47 million dollars to date, making it the 2nd best album of all times only after the Eagles Greatest Hits albumâ⬠(RIAA). If you were to imitate an artist why not Michael Jackson, he has been accepted into the Rock and Roll hall of fame twice, as solo artist and for the work in the Jackson Five. He has the largest selling record of all times; selling more than 40 million copies, double diamond in the United States, not platinum, but diamond. His Thriller album was accepted by the United States as a National treasure, not many music artists can say that. Michael Jackson will go down in history as one of the all time greats, putting him with the likes of Jimi Hendrixââ¬â¢s, the Eagles, the Beatles, Elvis and Bob Dylan. Itââ¬â¢s now been 25 years since the release of ââ¬Å"Thrillerâ⬠one of the greatest albums ever. Various pop artists of today like Fergie, Akon, Will I Am, and more will redo the original songs on the 25th anniversary album. After 25 years the spirit of the ââ¬Å"Thriller albumâ⬠is still alive and artists all want to be a part of such a historical event. The 25th anniversary of the album was released on 11 Feb 2008, with never recorded songs, behind the sceneââ¬â¢s look and the remix songs. Most of the artist doing the remixes admit they canââ¬â¢t live up to the standard that Michael Jackson set years ago and continues to do. Itââ¬â¢s hard to believe one album could influence the music industry so much, much less 25 years after itââ¬â¢s debut, but ââ¬Å"Thrillerâ⬠has done just that. If you donââ¬â¢t think Michael Jackson is often imitated and used as a source of influence in the music world youââ¬â¢re in a real case of denial. These examples have shown that many artists since the album ââ¬Å"Thrillerâ⬠were influenced by Michael Jacksonââ¬â¢s performance and dance. Music and dance has been influenced through years and years of artist and will continue to influence the artist of the future. Many people have formed unbiased opinions of Michael Jackson, but if they take his personal life and separate it from his work they would realize the impact on todayââ¬â¢s music and dance. He has influenced so many artists to become the successes they are today and will continue to influence the music of tomorrow. His style of dance has been recreated in so many ways from other music artist actually imitating him to taking his style and trying to make it their own. His dancing from the ââ¬Å"Thriller video has been used in other music videos, commercials and in various other mediaââ¬â¢s. Some have tried, but none have succeeded on a Michael Jackson level.

The Advantages of Biobutanol Over Ethanol Essay -- Fuel, Gasoline, Alte
Ethanol has recently come under fire for a variety of reasons. Ethanol uses more energy to be produced that it can yield, it drives up the cost of food crops, and it cannot be shipped efficiently (Hargreaves.) So what can be done about the problems with ethanol? Is there a better option for alternative fuel? Yes, biobutanol is the answer. Biobutanol is butanol that has been created by a biomass fermentation process that is similar to ethanol, but the resulting fuel has a few key advantages. Biobutanol is more feasible fuel source then ethanol, it can make use of existing infrastructure, and biobutanol has been proven to replace gasoline gallon for gallon. Butanol is a four-carbon alcohol that is currently used as a commercial solvent. Butanol can be made from the same biomass that produces ethanol, and is called biobutanol when it is made from such a process to distinguish the fuel produced from petroleum based butanol. Using biobutanol as a fuel is beneficial because of biobutanolââ¬â¢s energy content. Bioutanol is capable of producing 110,000 Btuââ¬â¢s per gallon. When compared to ethano...

Progresso You Gotta Taste This Soup Essay
Progresso grew from an Italian Import Company to a Quality Soup Company with an Italian Heritage. The company seal and name Progresso (meaning ââ¬Å"progressâ⬠in Italian) was designed to communicate the vision of progress, a cornerstone of the Progresso philosophy. The first Progresso soups were taken from real family recipes; made with the same ingredients and in the same way as the homemade soups. In 1949 Progresso introduced the first canned ready-to-serve soup in America and has grown to become the No. 1 ready-to-eat soup brand in America by using quality ingredients. Progresso continues to build on its rich history of flavorful products that delight the consumer. Gender & Age: Their commercials appear to target both men and women ââ¬â mostly women. Those who are middle aged as opposed to teen and younger or senior citizen and those who are looking for something that is nostalgic and from their past. The reason I think they appeal mostly to women is because their message is positive and focuses on how it can improve and help a womenââ¬â¢s life. They involve them with the brand and tell stories that resonate with females. One commercial shows a woman in a wedding dress calling to tell the Progresso Soup kitchen thanks for the help to achieve that goal. When the kitchen asks whenââ¬â¢s the big day, she says ââ¬Å"Oh, it was years ago, but the dress still fits! â⬠Education & Income: Iââ¬â¢m assuming their education levels are higher than high school as many of the commercials show people who are in offices or nice home settings which would mean their income is more middle class as opposed to lower or upper. ? Ethnic Group: Their company history can be traced back to Italy. Their soups like Traditional, Classic and Rich & Hearty all suggest a homemade flavor like Grandmaââ¬â¢s. One commercial shows a woman in an office calling the kitchen asking if she can talk to her Grandma. They tell her sheââ¬â¢s in the garden picking herbs to which she says, ââ¬Å"Sheââ¬â¢s so cute, Iââ¬â¢ll hold. â⬠In 2010, Progresso stepped up its emphasis on superior taste with the rollout of World Recipes soups and the first four are Mexican-inspired flavors. Psychographics: I think the customers Progresso is reaching out to are Thinkers, Achievers and Believers. All three of these have similar qualities; conservative, focus on family, tradition. Thinkers and Achievers look further for functionality, value and brands that demonstrate success to their peers. One commercial shows how a soup with fiber doesnââ¬â¢t have to compromise good taste making it convenient for consumers to get more fiber in their diets while enjoying a wholesome, satisfying meal. Believers also favor American-made products and hereââ¬â¢s where I think Progressoââ¬â¢s packaging is effective. The can colors are blue, the lettering is mostly white and their Progresso banner resembles a flag and has red trim ââ¬â what is more American than Red, White & Blue? Benefit Segmentation & Usage: Progresso focuses on the advantages their customers receive rather on the characteristics of the customers themselves; mostly weight loss and receiving fresh ingredients. One commercial shows a guy calling to ask if the clams are fresh in his Clam Chowder soup. The kitchen ââ¬Å"connectsâ⬠him to the boat to talk to the captain. ? Product Positioning Progresso Soups have almost 50 flavors from which to choose and seven categories, each targeting a different market segment: Traditional, Vegetable Classics, Rich & Hearty, Reduced Sodium, Light, High Fiber and World Recipes. Their biggest attribute is their endorsement from Weight Watchers. They are the only soup endorsed by Weight Watchers. As for their competition, they show contrast by showing their soup is for grownups and itââ¬â¢s better than condensed soup (Campbells Chicken & Stars). They show different uses for their soup by creating recipes that can be found on Pillsbury. com or WeightWatchersOnline. com. Their price/quality relationship is shown when their commercials show whole, fresh vegetables going into the top of the can and their tagline over the years has been ââ¬Å"Itââ¬â¢s time to go to the better taste of Progresso. â⬠Their product user is targeted, I think, to those who are looking for their past weight. Progresso Soup is a sponsor for The Biggest Loser and they hold contests for people whoââ¬â¢ve lost weight using their product to receive makeovers. One lady who won said she had to ââ¬Å"get my life backâ⬠and this was easy. Many of their commercials suggest that one will lose weight by eating Progresso. One shows a woman calling the kitchen to say her husband has been eating their soup and now looks like he did 20 years ago. Not only that, heââ¬â¢s wearing the clothes he wore 20 years ago and when the other can phone rings itââ¬â¢s him to say, ââ¬Å"Relax and enjoy the view! â⬠The funniest part, heââ¬â¢s wearing clothes from the 70ââ¬â¢s complete with tube socks. Another is when a lady calls the kitchen to say sheââ¬â¢s been eating Progresso and now her favorite old jeans fit. Itââ¬â¢s easy to see that there are many benefits when eating Progresso Soups; as they said in their commercials from the 80ââ¬â¢s, ââ¬Å"P. S. I love you. ââ¬

Research Paper â⬠Sex Education in Public Schools - 1569 Words
Research Paper ââ¬â Sex Education in Public Schools Itââ¬â¢s been a number of days since Iââ¬â¢ve written here, and for that I have to answer that there have been a number of projects under works that Iââ¬â¢ve had to tend to. For now, I will take the time to show you a research paper Iââ¬â¢ve spent most of the day writing for my Comp I class. Sex Education in Public Schools Sex education in public schools here in the United States has, for at least the past decade, supported and utilized abstinence-only sex education programs to be taught throughout both intermediate schools and high schools. Though during the entire time that abstinence-only programs have been used, there has been a constant debate among both parents and educational authorities how toâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦(91) Teen pregnancy rates have seen both falls and climbs in the past number of decades, and much of the time it has been difficult to pinpoint the cause of these rate changes. When the pregnancy rate decreases, both sides of the argument often take credit, one side saying that it was because of a lack of abstinence-only sex education, another side saying it was because of a reinforcement or fulfillment in abstinence-only sex education. In the Introduction to the Opposing Viewpoints seriesà ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã¢â ¢ Teen Sexuality: Defenders of traditional sex education programs point to these statistics and argue that Congressà ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã¢â ¢s proposed changes to sex education are unnecessary. However, a second study by another Michael Resnick of the University of Minnesota provides another explanation for the drop in teen sexual activity. According to Resnick, parents who spend time with their children and make their values clear are more likely to have children who forgo sex, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and violence. à ¢Ã¢â ¬ÃÅ"Ità ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã¢â ¢s more than the physical presence of parents, the number of hours a day theyà ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã¢â ¢re in the home,à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã¢â ¢ Resnick contends. à ¢Ã¢â ¬ÃÅ"Its their emotional availability.à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã¢â ¢ (13-14) The more information and supportive relationships from theShow MoreRelatedSame Sex Classrooms1173 Words à |à 5 PagesEssay 2 Draft Research Plan for à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã
